Livin' with the North in the South: Were Still Here!

Sorry we haven't posted but our computer has been down and of course when vacation is over all the work begins again. We will be posting a new post within the next week.

New Recipe "Apple Bread"

Cream: 1/2 cup of butter
1 Cup of Sugar

Add: 2 eggs beaten
1 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in 2 Tablespoons of
buttermilk.

Sift in: 2 cups of flour (all purpose)
1/2 teaspoon of salt

Add: 2 Cups of chopped apple
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 cup of chopped nuts (optional)

Pour into greased loaf pan & sprinkle the following on top:
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of flour (all purpose)
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Bake @ 350 for 1 hour.
